Dr Govinda Pandey is a Fellow of Engineers Australia and a thought leader in transformative infrastructure asset management. With his 25+ years of international experience, Govinda has been pioneering the application of cutting edge technology and international best practice in risk-based management of large-scale infrastructure assets in Australia. Govinda also has a strong track record in impactful industry-university collaboration and community engagement.

Executive Director | Heavy Industries Market Leader

Tom has 15 years’ experience in the resources, heavy industry and infrastructure sectors, working on multi-disciplinary projects throughout Australia. He has worked with numerous business leaders in asset intensive operations to develop and deliver projects that significantly improve asset/risk performance. Tom plays a key role in strengthening stakeholder relationships within the resources and heavy industry sectors. As General Manager and Executive Director, he is focussed on the strategic growth of Rockfield, and alignment between business units.

Mechanical Lead | Technical Director

Scott has over 20 years experience and holds the position of Technical Director at Rockfield. Scott oversees the company’s Quality Assurance program and takes a very active role in project work and mentoring of all engineering staff. His additional responsibilities include technical support for the finite element / discrete element codes used in-house, and application of the software to challenging industrial and research and development problems.

Structures Lead | Technical Director

David Han is a highly experienced bridge design expert and a Fellow of Engineers Australia. With over 25 years of experience in structural engineering design, he has extensive knowledge in a range of structures. At Rockfield, David is a Technical Director and leads the structural team since 2017. He is responsible for structural design, verification, project management, and tendering for various structures, including bridges, mining, marine, and civil structures.

Australia West Manager | Senior Mechanical Engineer

With a strong technical background in fundamental engineering design coupled with instrumentation design and installation, Brent has a passion for delivering technical work to help maximise client value. This output-driven approach has helped him build strong and sustainable client relationships across the heavy industry and public infrastructure sectors.

Principal Civil Structures | Civil Structures Lead | Principal Engineer

Burt has 11 years of experience in the design of structural, transport and stormwater projects for public and private infrastructure. He has experience designing and assessing road and rail bridges, bulk material handling equipment and drainage structures. He has scoped and installed numerous instrumentation projects and has worked on and managed multiple multi-disciplinary projects. He has also prepared and updated asset management plans for government and private infrastructure.

Engineering Manager | Associate Technical Director | Structures

Daniel is Rockfield’s Associate Technical Director and his responsibilities include engineering design management; managing and mentoring staff; developing, scoping, and quoting projects; and maintaining client relationships. Daniel undertakes lead design, checking, verification, QA and project management of various structure types including reinforced concrete, steel, stainless steel, masonry, timber and aluminium.

Asset Management Lead | Principal Engineer 

William is an industry-focused engineer who has serviced the agriculture, refining and mining industries since 2007. In that time, he has travelled throughout Australia; developing a strong, practical rapport with rotating machinery, fixed plant infrastructure and mobile assets. Today, William is an advisor to Rockfield’s Asset Excellence team and is responsible for designing novel, in-house, industry focused tools that deliver value to our clients.

Associate Technical Director | Mechanical

Chris has over 15 years primarily in the field of mechanical engineering design. In that time, he has been involved in national and international design projects in the bulk materials handling sector. Today, Chris Coulson is Rockfield’s Associate Technical Director and his responsibilities include; engineering design management, managing and mentoring staff, developing projects, maintain client relationships and managing Rockfield’s IT systems

InfraTech Lead | Senior Software Engineer

Daniel is a computer system engineer with a wide range of experience from embedded IoT hardware and software design, to high level software development. He has developed software primarily in modern C++ and Python 3, with considerable additional experience in C for embedded devices.

Amy brings exceptional business administration experience to the team and ensures that Rockfield’s people are safe and the work quality we do is of an excellent standard. Amy also leads and supports Rockfield’s financial, accounting and compliance objectives to contribute to the achievement of the company’s purpose and deliver on strategic outcomes.

Shelley brings with her a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to lead and support Rockfield’s People, Place and Culture. Furthermore, Shelley contributes to the broader organisational and strategic management, including helping to develop and maintain Rockfield’s corporate profile.

Structural Integrity Lead | Senior Principal

Chow has 20 years’ experience in design and asset maintenance works for infrastructures, industrial, commercial, residential and mining structures. He has worked in resource, heavy industry and infrastructure projects. His experience comprises conceptual design, modelling, engineering and detailed design, design review, design management, structural inspection and report writing. Key areas of expertise are in design of steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Andrew has 15 years’ experience in the design and drafting of mechanical structures and systems. He is proficient in the application of Solidworks, ANSYS, MATLAB and Excel to design problems. He is also familiar with using coding to extend these software packages to find novel solutions. Andrew has completed site work internationally, conducting inspections and fitting instrumentation to validate design and analysis undertaken.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Tim is an engineer who has a passion for solving complex problems, particularly with the insight that can be provided through the use of computational techniques. He understands the caution and care which should be taken when using these techniques to ensure that a realistic scenario is accurately modeled.

Structural and InfraTech Engineer

Ella is a skilled bridge engineer with over 4 years of proven experience and knowledge in delivering data-driven solutions for asset management. Ella has excellent expertise in SHM sensing techniques, bridge design, assessment, and advanced analysis to Australian Standards, and database technology. In addition, Ella has considerable experience in bridge monitoring and assessment projects.

Senior Structural Engineer

Dick Yau has experience in buried corrugated steel tunnel assessment, structural design, finite element structural analysis, instrumentation, measurement data analysis and fatigue life assessment. Dick has seven years of research experience (including his PhD study) related to structural health monitoring of bridges including modal analysis, vibration-based damage detection, and optical fiber sensing technology as well as static deflection and dynamic measurement.

Callum is a versatile mechanical engineer, possessing a broad skill set including design, analysis and dynamic testing and instrumentation. With experience servicing the mining, transportation, ports and bulk handling sectors, Callum understands the challenges facing these industries and employs a practical approach to deliver effective solutions for clients.

Lachlan is a Senior Structural Engineer with over 5 years’ experience in design and consulting who offers complete project services from design through to construction inspections, project management and contract administration. Lachlan’s design capabilities are broad, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, recreational structures, mining structures, road and rail bridges, reservoirs, civil structures, safeaccess systems and more.

Conor has been developing his skills with experience in the mining, export and sugar industries mainly around solid modelling and drawing delivery for projects. He also has experience in Australian standards review and compliance for bulk material export infrastructure and machinery in the agricultural sectors.

Oliver is a computer systems engineer that specialises in the development of Industry 4.0 embedded systems, edge computing, and statistical modelling. Oliver also maintains an active and extensive knowledge of cutting-edge technologies and instrumentation systems and frequently collaborates with industry leaders in commercial and educational fields.

Madhu has extensive domain expertise in the field of Engineering Asset Management (EAM). He has designed and managed custom EAM programs for Mining, Hydrocarbon and Processing industries. He has led multiple workstreams on Asset Reliability, Maintenance Optimization and Asset Life Cycle Planning. Madhu is proficient in designing and implementing Asset Integrity assurance strategies and Remaining Life Assessments.

Sagar is an experienced engineer with a demonstrated history working within the mining and construction industry. With experience in structural integrity procedures, Sagar assists clients in managing the structural risk associated with companies’ assets. Sagar has a thorough understanding of Australian building codes including LRFD design for wind loading and the special needs Australia has for wind-safe structures.

Behzad is an enthusiastic talented structural engineer experienced in the structural design and construction services including reinforced concrete, steel-framed buildings and infrastructure temporary works and construction staging design. Behzad has extensive experience in structural health monitoring and remediation for bridges, steel and concrete structures and brings a wealth of industry and academic experience.
